Bloganuary Day #4 Prompt: “What was your favorite toy as a child?”

For reference: I was born in 1988 and grew up through the 90's (some would venture, I'm still growing up). As for my favorite toy(s), I didn't have just one, of course. My Polly Pockets, my Dear Diary electronic journal (picture below), my Tamagotchi, and all my books were in the top tier. I also enjoyed the idea of my Easy Bake Oven, but I ate all the ingredients within a week of receiving the gift and the toy decayed in the basement. I remember fondly this plastic parrot sitting on a perch that you could record moments of sound and play them back. My family was shouting about something, so I recorded them. I played it back for my dad and he said "Is that what I sound like?". Shortly, thereafter, the parrot fell away from my memory. Probably because the parrot fell into the trash can. I don't remember too many toys other than those listed above. I did have a POG collection but I never figured out the game, so I'd just sit, holding and admiring all my cardboard discs. That lasted about 3 months. I also enjoyed my Furby for about the same amount of time. Ahh... the obsolescence of tons and tons of plastic.
